Thiago de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Brodel's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Délio Fontes's late challenge caught a BARREA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Irajai got a freekick which was hit by Délio Fontes. If Ediberto Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago de Amorim having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Baiano in the 11th minute of play forced BARREA's goalkeeper Vânderson Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Irajai's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Brodel came free, but Thiago de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Thiago de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Brodel struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Thiago de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BARREA. Irajai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Severino Brodel scored to the left of an out of position Thiago de Amorim, making the score, 1-0. Irajai's Thiago de Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Irajai from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Severino Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago de Amorim was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute Digo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, BARREA's Paulão Lima got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Brodel in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago de Amorim saved Irajai from getting behind. Vânderson Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Maranhense in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, BARREA's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Baiano came free, but Vânderson Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, BARREA's goal looked a bit too open when Digo Dantas came free, but Vânderson Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Lago in the 52nd minute of the match. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Irajai's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ediberto Lago was slow to take the kick. During this time BARREA's players had a chance to rest. Ediberto Lago made a great header on BARREA's corner, it was just that Irajai's Thiago de Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. Vítor Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, BARREA's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Fontes came free, but Vânderson Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Vânderson Lara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BARREA! Vânderson Lara had in the 71stth minute some difficulties stopping Júlio Gomes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A hard shot 72 in the game by Digo Dantas from a close distance when the talented Vânderson Lara managed to make a qualified save. BARREA's players were relieved. Thiago de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Aguiar in the 75th minute of the match. Vítor Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Irajai getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jonas Paulista hit a great ball. When Ediberto Lago came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the BARREA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ediberto Lago couldn't finish the play. After 91 minutes of play, Irajai's Nilson Baiano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, BARREA's Vânderson Lara got control of the ball when Digo Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ediberto Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
