When Nelson Secco came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Mocaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Secco couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Sydney Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mocaja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mocaja were furious when Amadeu Macedo was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 59 minutes Mocaja's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cafu Cosme who took care of the corner kick. When Allan de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocaja's protests and gave Allan de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Itajobi SC got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Vargas. Nelson Secco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Christiano dos Santos made a huge save. Emerson Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sydney Arruda got free with Christiano dos Santos in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Júnior Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sydney Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Mocaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Arruda couldn't finish the play. If Emerson Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mocaja's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
