Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Norberto Neto kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Eliézer Paraense rounded Os Vira-Latas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Os Vira-Latas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Eliézer Paraense scored to the left of an out of position Alfredão Simão, making the score, 2-0. Alessandro Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alfredão Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredão Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Paraense in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Eliézer Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xanxerê Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliézer Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Eliézer Paraense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredão Simão. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. Alfredão Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Paraense in the 35th minute of play. Eliézer Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alfredão Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Os Vira-Latas's zone, João Gordo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Simão came out of the goal and João Gordo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 minutes of play, Os Vira-Latas's Norberto Neto made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Mangueira was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Paraense was the one to do the kick off. If Alessandro Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Os Vira-Latas got a freekick which was hit by Betão Sá. A collision led to Os Vira-Latas getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Sydney Quadros hit a great ball. Eliézer Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredão Simão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliézer Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliézer Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Simão having to interfere. Xanxerê Futebol Clube's Eliézer Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Horácio Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Xanxerê Futebol Clube fully deserved thier win.
