Zachariasz Budzynski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Rua do Coco's Ezequiel Guimarães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adhemar de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Adhemar de Salles made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ezequiel Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. Vítor Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariasz Budzynski having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Virgílio Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rua do Coco's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhemar de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ezequiel Guimarães might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adhemar de Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ezequiel Guimarães ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgílio Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar de Salles having to interfere. Charito AD's Adhemar de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Cabral in the 62nd minute of play. Ezequiel Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar de Salles having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Ezequiel Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Adhemar de Salles. Charito AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Ezequiel Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rua do Coco walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
