Aírton Arósio's late challenge caught a Simplicio AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aírton Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Arceburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Simplicio AD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elivélton Linhares in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Aírton Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arceburgo's Lucas Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Abreu in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Arceburgo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Aírton Arósio hit a great ball. Lucas Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Vicente Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. If Vicente Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Simplicio AD's Moisés Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If André Luiz Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Siqueira in the 44th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Moisés Abreu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucas Guimarães. That made the score 3-0 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moisés Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente Siqueira scored 4-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Arceburgo's Luís Fábio Gerber got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Deivid de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arceburgo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simplicio AD the free kick. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Simplicio AD. Elivélton Linhares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lucas Guimarães. 5-0. 70 minutes into the match, Moisés Abreu notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Arceburgo's Lucas Guimarães. Lucas Guimarães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Moisés Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, Arceburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Abreu came free, but Lucas Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Moisés Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simplicio AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arceburgo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Simplicio AD.
