The goalkeeper, João Carlos do Vale, was totally fooled by Sentenciados's Amauri Brasil, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Page's zone, Anderson Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos do Vale came out of the goal and Anderson Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Page's goalkeeper João Carlos do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Juarês Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Rodrigues in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carlos do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jorge Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, one of Sentenciados:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 71 minutes, Chicão Guimarães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Page and the Sentenciados players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sentenciados booed when Page was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sentenciados's Dadá Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Sentenciados from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored Sentenciados's protests and gave Anderson Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Page booed when Sentenciados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
