The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Braço do Tombudo FC's Albertinho Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrício Paiva in the 5th minute of play. Albertinho Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Paiva in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Elivélton Carioca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albertinho Silva. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válbson de Queirós during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Válbson de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Patrício Paiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Albertinho Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Durvalino Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Silva having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrício Paiva in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertinho Silva saved Braço do Tombudo FC from getting behind. João Adolfo Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Macit Taybars in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Jonathan Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 13 DE MAIO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.

Jonathan Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Albertinho Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. 13 DE MAIO FC had played much better football throughout.
