Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Paes in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio das Neves was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Saraiva made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Cido Dracena sent off a good shot on target. Japao's Paulo Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Paes in the 54th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Japao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Majuria:s goal.
