Acácio Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Zonta in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Clube Atlético Puma getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sandrinho da Mata hit a great ball. Arlindo Zonta struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Acácio Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veodos. Arlindo Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Acácio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Veodos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando de Almeida. If Arlindo Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Veodos's Christiano Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Freire in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Clube Atlético Puma got a corner. Veodos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sandrinho da Mata ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sandrinho da Mata made a great header on Clube Atlético Puma's corner, it was just that Veodos's Christiano Dionísio managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 21st minute, Amadeu Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Acácio Hermes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th minute, Sandrinho da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Veodos booed when Clube Atlético Puma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Jeferson de Medeiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Acácio Hermes skillfully saved the ball. Rony Prado charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Prado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Acácio Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando de Almeida in the 42nd minute of the match. Acácio Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Arósio in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Daniel Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Puma's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Clube Atlético Puma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Veodos were winning 0-1.

After 52 minutes, Hílton Ceresso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veodos and the Clube Atlético Puma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hílton Ceresso hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 56th play minute Amadeu Arósio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Acácio Hermes. 0-2. If Eliseu Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Christiano Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Hermes having to interfere. Amadeu Arósios short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Acácio Hermes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Puma's Eliseu Souto got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Arlindo Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murilo Nóbrega hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Acácio Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Arlindo Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Clube Atlético Puma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Martins to maneuver through the defense. When Veodos's Arlindo Zonta in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube Atlético Puma's goalie prevented a goal. When Beto Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Veodos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Antunes couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, Veodos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Prado to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Christiano Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Arósio got free with Acácio Hermes in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Veodos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
