The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Os Loucos f.c's Belmiro Peixoto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Os Loucos f.c from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Carandai SC's João Novaes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Zeca Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Os Loucos f.c's Silvério Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 22 minutes into the game, Clóvis Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carandai SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Os Loucos f.c the free kick. A collision led to Carandai SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Clóvis Quintal hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Carandai SC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Freire. When Carandai SC's João Novaes in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Os Loucos f.c's goalie prevented a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Chico Fantini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Os Loucos f.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carandai SC the free kick. Chico Fantini hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Emerson Lopez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 37th playminute. João Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Belmiro Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Lopez in the 45th minute. 3-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Emerson Lopez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

56 minutes into the match, Os Loucos f.c's goal looked a bit too open when João Novaes came free, but Belmiro Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeca Cardoso got free with Eliseu Castro in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carandai SC's Eliseu Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Carandai SC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Os Loucos f.c's Silvério Faria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 66th minute Emerson Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belmiro Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Carandai SC's Eliseu Castro got control of the ball when Zeca Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseu Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emerson Lopez in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Belmiro Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belmiro Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Novaes in the 78th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Chico Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Os Loucos f.c's Belmiro Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Lopez in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Os Loucos f.c booed when Carandai SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belmiro Peixoto came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Carandai SC's João Novaes. But to his dismay, João Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2.
