Raphael Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Paiva in the 19th minute of play. When Hugo Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Souza Nogueira F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Paiva couldn't finish the play. Raphael Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Delfim Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Accioly EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Accioly EC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Rafa Corrêa hit a great ball. Accioly EC's Raphael Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Paiva in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Alagoano in the 66th minute of play forced Accioly EC's goalkeeper Raphael Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Souza Nogueira F. C.'s Hugo Paiva got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Eugênio Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Accioly EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Souza Nogueira F. C. the free kick. Eugênio Damião hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Zé Carlos Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raphael Mazza having to make a save. In the 94th minute Delfim Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dino de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Accioly EC were victorious despite being under pressure from Souza Nogueira F. C. for much of the match.
