To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Fortim's goalkeeper Válter Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio de Amorim. Válter Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válter Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Válter Messias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baltazar Couto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Válter Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Couto in the 34th minute of the match.
