Denílson de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Bezerra in the 5th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Nicolas Tepedino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quintino FC's Valdir Arce. Valdir Arce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denílson de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomás Brodel in the 12th minute. Denílson de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Bezerra in the 14th minute of play. Armandinho Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Quintino FC booed when Tesourinho Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Raúl Campidelis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denílson de Almeida skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Tepedino in the 35th minute of play forced Quintino FC's goalkeeper Valdir Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Tepedino in the 45th minute of play. The Quintino FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Quintino FC's José Vítor Bezerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kléber Siqueira to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Nicolas Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Arce. Quintino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Kléber Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléber Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Arce having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Tesourinho Futebol Clube's Kléber Siqueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 73rd match minute, Tesourinho Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. When Thomás Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Quintino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomás Brodel couldn't finish the play. José Vítor Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Denílson de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denílson de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Denílson de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Tesourinho Futebol Clube's Kléber Siqueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. The Tesourinho Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
