Spectators: 6413 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nico Amaral took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sílvio Luiz Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Luiz Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Guaraçai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Nunes to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Percival Capixaba from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Acácio Rossi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nico Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Cardozo having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Baltazar Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Pilares getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rodrigo Velloso hit a great ball. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pilares's Eliseu Porto suffered a concussion after 42 minutes and had to leave the field. When Sílvio Luiz Nunes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. In the 45th minute, Percival Capixaba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guaraçai FC's Acácio Rossi didn't even have to move. Geovani Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pilares players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guaraçai FC were winning 0-2.

Pilares's Luiz Eduardo Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pilares from getting a goal against them. When Elivélton Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilares's protests and gave Elivélton Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pilares getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Elivélton Dracena hit a great ball. Baltazar Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltazar Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Tasso struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Luiz Eduardo Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaraçai FC. In the 79thth minute of the game Geovani Correia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaraçai FC's Acácio Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, João Vítor Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes, Pilares's Vitório Matorin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Rossi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pilares reached it. In the 89th match minute, Pilares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Velloso to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guaraçai FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
