An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Ortiz in the 3rd minute of play forced Quintino FC's goalkeeper Valdir Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Valdemar Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Hermínio Guimarães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quintino FC's Valdir Arce didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Paraiso's Franklin Arantes got control of the ball when Thomás Brodel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Charles Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Arce. Quintino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Paraiso's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Bezerra came free, but Franklin Arantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomás Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Arantes having to interfere. Franklin Arantes made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Thomás Brodel sent off a good shot on target. If José Vítor Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paraiso getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Zé Pedro Netto hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Quintino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Guedes came free, but Valdir Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Quintino FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraiso were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Vítor Bezerra was the one to do the kick off. Laerte Donato hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Quintino FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Charles Ortiz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Tião Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 65 minutes, João Paulo Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraiso and the Quintino FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Paraiso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Tião Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Valdir Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 minutes, José Vítor Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quintino FC and the Paraiso players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Paraiso booed when Quintino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Paraiso got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Guedes. Thomás Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Franklin Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraiso's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
