In the 7th match minute, DragonIce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Cosme went to the wrong direction when Zachariasz Cwenar was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Gilbert's Everardo Erruki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Gilbert from getting a goal against them. After 14 played minutes Gilbert got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fonseca. Joaquim Camargo, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gilbert's Everardo Erruki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Gilbert from getting a goal against them. Angelo Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Erruki having to interfere. With a little luck, Gilbert's Everardo Erruki got control of the ball when Angelo Sergipano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benê Linares made a kick off. Everardo Erruki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Zonta in the 54th minute of play. The referee gave Joaquim Camargo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, DragonIce's Joaquim Camargo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Fausto Cosme made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Benê Linares sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the DragonIce defense, Elano Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fausto Cosme. The DragonIce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fausto Cosme should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Zachariasz Cwenar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benê Linares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Fausto Cosme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The DragonIce fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gilbert were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
