The audience thought a goal was coming when Cafu Sanches got free with Enéas Mandrak in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Amaral in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anísio Viana saved FutBr Esporte Clube from getting behind. Anísio Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Matos in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elder de Andrade during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, ufc mister was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in ufc mister's zone, Jorge Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Mandrak came out of the goal and Jorge Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FutBr Esporte Clube's Willian Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Víktor Amaral got free with Anísio Viana in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FutBr Esporte Clube were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
