Raúl Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Borges in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Miramar E.C got a freekick which was hit by José Mesquita. After a rather tough play, Miramar E.C's Olívio Brodel got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brodovsky! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamílton Britto in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristóvão Seco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Brodovsky booed when Miramar E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mané Tande went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Brodovsky's goalkeeper Raúl Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Borges. In the 30th minute, Hamílton Britto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brodovsky fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 36th minute Mané Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Raúl Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jaime Borges struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Raúl Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miramar E.C.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mané Tande made a kick off. If José Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Olívio Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miramar E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Coelho having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Brodovsky's goal looked a bit too open when José Mesquita came free, but Raúl Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Tande in the 73rd minute of play. Olívio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Hamílton Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Seco having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Olívio Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cristóvão Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamílton Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Seco having to interfere. The Brodovsky supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brodovsky would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
