Jardel Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Nascimento in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match, Dorival Lira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Murilo Quintal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Carneiro got free with Murilo Quintal in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Jazz Esporte Clube's zone, Joélson Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Figueiredo came out of the goal and Joélson Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Jazz Esporte Clube booed when Itapoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Itapoa's goalkeeper Murilo Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival Lira. Oswaldo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Carneiro got free with Murilo Quintal in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Tomás Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itapoa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 33rd minute, Oswaldo Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match, Sidnei Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Murilo Quintal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Oswaldo Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jardel Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Alan de Sousa made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Jardel Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joélson Fontes went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidnei Carneiro to make the kick off. If Joélson Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Nascimento got free with Jardel Figueiredo in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jardel Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Nascimento in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Jazz Esporte Clube's Jardel Figueiredo got control of the ball when Oswaldo Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Jazz Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Luisão Varela hit a great ball. Jazz Esporte Clube's Jardel Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Jazz Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. After 90 minutes Jazz Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joélson Fontes who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Joélson Fontes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jazz Esporte Clube's Jardel Figueiredo did a great save. In the 92nd match minute, Itapoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. When Charles de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jazz Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Murilo Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Itapoa's zone, Luisão Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Quintal came out of the goal and Luisão Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
