The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, CUIABÁ-MT's Walmyr Miranda got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Daniel Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CUIABÁ-MT. Ted Garcha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Daniel Tasso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ted Garcha in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a rather tough play, CUIABÁ-MT's Josué Arce got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 26 played minutes CUIABÁ-MT got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Miranda. 龚翔志, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 35th match minute, CUIABÁ-MT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Arce to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Garcha in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Urussui getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Serginho Meirelles hit a great ball. Daniel Tasso made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Walmyr Miranda sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the match, Ted Garcha notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Urussui's Daniel Tasso. Daniel Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simão de Sena made a kick off. Daniel Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Garcha's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Walmyr Miranda hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Urussui got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Coutinho. After a rather tough play, Urussui's Jacinto Valle got a free kick in the 61st minute. Rodriguinho do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Tasso having to interfere. Hernani Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Ted Garcha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CUIABÁ-MT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 95th minute, Rodriguinho do Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. CUIABÁ-MT's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
