Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Simão Bezerra started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Vágner Lima came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the C.A MATOGROSSENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vágner Lima couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, C.A MATOGROSSENSE's Sandrinho Vianna got a free kick in the 11th minute. C.A MATOGROSSENSE's Serafim da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Leite in the 12th minute of play. Aloísio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean da Fonseca in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the game, FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's Ruy Leite nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafim da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute, FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's Alfredinho Sanches seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredinho Sanches the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FELIPEKM Fórum Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredinho Sanches had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FELIPEKM Fórum Clube! With his leg Aloísio de Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when C.A MATOGROSSENSE's Jean da Fonseca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vágner Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C.A MATOGROSSENSE's Kiko Gomes got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Luciano Cardozo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Ruy Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Serafim da Silveira made a huge save. Serafim da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Leite in the 63rd minute of play. If Jean da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Ruy Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fabiano Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FELIPEKM Fórum Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Vidal couldn't finish the play. Ruy Leite might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafim da Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruy Leite ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafim da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Botelho in the 80th minute of the match. Vágner Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Lima came free, but Aloísio de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C.A MATOGROSSENSE's zone, Ruy Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim da Silveira came out of the goal and Ruy Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Durval Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Durval Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafim da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Serafim da Silveira came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by FELIPEKM Fórum Clube's Durval Botelho. But to his dismay, Durval Botelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Vágner Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A MATOGROSSENSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aloísio de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
