The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Félix during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney Félix hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Luisão Botelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hogwarts fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 7th minute, Enio Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Hogwarts's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Bastos came free, but Joaquim Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Vieira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Hogwarts's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Luisão Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fabiano Velasco during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itahum's Luís Fabiano Velasco got a free kick in the 12th minute. Paulo José Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Luisão Botelho sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th match minute, Itahum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Velasco to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Itahum's Paulo José Carneiro got control of the ball when Luisão Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dé Fantini charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dé Fantini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Hogwarts got a freekick which was hit by Dé Fantini. After recieving a nice pass, Itahum's Anderson Medeiros tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Erik Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hogwarts's protests and gave Erik Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Lopez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Hudson Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Pimenta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hudson Bastos went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Hudson Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itahum's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hudson Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pimenta having to interfere. Luisão Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Paulo José Carneiro made a huge save. With a little luck, Itahum's Paulo José Carneiro got control of the ball when Luisão Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Itahum's Paulo José Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Vieira in the 45th minute of play. Baltazar Barral's late challenge caught a Hogwarts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltazar Barral helped the player get up and apologised. Baltazar Barral hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Luisão Botelho made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hudson Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulo José Carneiro came out of the goal and Luisão Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 minutes, Telmo Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itahum and the Hogwarts players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Itahum getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Telmo Tepedino hit a great ball. Luisão Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Carneiro having to interfere. Baltazar Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joaquim Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Itahum getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Baltazar Barral hit a great ball. Telmo Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Pimenta having to make a save. Ronaldo Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Anderson Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquim Pimenta. Hogwarts's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulo José Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Botelho in the 88th minute of the match. Hogwarts's Joaquim Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Hogwarts from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Luisão Botelho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Itahum's Paulo José Carneiro. Paulo José Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisão Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Paulo José Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
