After 4 minutes, Olívio Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iparanga and the Vaca Veia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iparanga's Fernandinho Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Moura in the 9th minute of play. Guto Cosme's late challenge caught a Iparanga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Vaca Veia got a freekick which was hit by Guto Cosme. João Vítor Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Marquez in the 15th minute of the match. If Roberto Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play Iparanga's Olívio Figueiredo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafinha Moura in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho Catarinense saved Iparanga from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafinha Moura was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Dráusio Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iparanga and the Vaca Veia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Iparanga getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dráusio Galvão hit a great ball. Rodriguinho Marquez hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Túlio Lucas struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fernandinho Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaca Veia. Rafinha Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fernandinho Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Iparanga's goal looked a bit too open when Rafinha Moura came free, but Fernandinho Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Túlio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Moura in the 75th minute of play. Rafinha Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Catarinense having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Lucas in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho Catarinense saved Iparanga from getting behind. Fernandinho Catarinense came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaca Veia's Túlio Lucas. But to his dismay, Túlio Lucas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Rafinha Moura came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Vaca Veia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Moura couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
