With a little luck, Bongo FC's Raúl Godoi got control of the ball when Frédson Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frédson Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Raúl Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Paraíba in the 8th minute of play. Rony Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Paraíba in the 16th minute of play forced Bongo FC's goalkeeper Raúl Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Godoi having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Ciro Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibicuitinga SC and the Bongo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Ibicuitinga SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Queirós in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Ibicuitinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Paiva came free, but Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Egídio Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Bongo FC booed when Ibicuitinga SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fabiano Queirós blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt having to make a save. Egídio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Paiva to make the kick off. Carlinhos Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlinhos Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Arce in the 56th minute of play forced Ibicuitinga SC's goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Vágner Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romário de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Bongo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romário de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ibicuitinga SC's Romário de Alcântara got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Bongo FC's Luiz Fabiano Queirós. But to his dismay, Luiz Fabiano Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 85th minute Bongo FC were awarded a corner. Pedro Augusto Arce went to the cornerflag to take it. If Egídio Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute of the match Arí Favoretto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Luiz Fabiano Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 96th minute Vágner Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bongo FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
