André Luís Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Garca AD's Wiliam Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Paulo Renato Leme came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the VSKG C.E.E.J fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Renato Leme couldn't finish the play. Alessandro Valadares was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 79 played minutes VSKG C.E.E.J got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Valadares. Jonas Pirani took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Proença. Christian Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Pirani in the 95th minute of play forced Garca AD's goalkeeper Christian Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VSKG C.E.E.J fans cheered their team off the field, for while Garca AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
