Fernandinho Mello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. F. C. Amargoso's Benigno Michael was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Claudinho Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Amargoso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Benigno Michael managed to get in a good position for a shot. F. C. Amargoso's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Michael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Riograndense FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Vivaldo Nogueira hit a great ball. Ricardo Nogueira's late challenge caught a Riograndense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luís Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Michael in the 44th minute of the match. Amargoso's Erasmo Paide sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luís Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Michael came free, but Pedro Luís Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernandinho Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Eger in the 56th minute. Pedro Luís Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, F. C. Amargoso's Claudinho Vasconcelos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luís Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in Riograndense FC's zone, Erasmo Paide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Magalhães came out of the goal and Erasmo Paide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benigno Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Magalhães having to interfere. F. C. Amargoso's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
