Benigno Michael might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luís Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Michael ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute, VSKG C.E.E.J's Jonas Pirani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Benigno Michael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Luís Medeiros was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Garcia during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, VSKG C.E.E.J's Germano Garcia got a free kick in the 18th minute. André Luís Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Michael's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Benigno Michael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Luís Medeiros having to make a save. Ricardo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. André Luís Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benigno Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 36th play minutes Benigno Michael shot 2-2, a short shot which went by André Luís Medeiros and just under the crossbar into goal. Erasmo Paide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match Wilian Marquez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Luís Medeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Renato Leme to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ricardo Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Luís Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 63rd minute Benigno Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of F. C. Amargoso:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of VSKG C.E.E.J:s goal. The referee gave VSKG C.E.E.J a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amauri Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F. C. Amargoso's Fernandinho Mello. 3-3. 72 minutes into the match, VSKG C.E.E.J's goalkeeper André Luís Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benigno Michael. 74 minutes into the game, Benigno Michael lined in a short shot 3-4 behind a frustrated André Luís Medeiros. Nicolas Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F. C. Amargoso's Wilian Marquez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by André Luís Medeiros but with some difficulty. VSKG C.E.E.J's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Benigno Michael scored to the left of an out of position André Luís Medeiros, making the score, 3-5. Nicolas Lucas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ricardo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Medeiros having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VSKG C.E.E.J's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F. C. Amargoso the free kick. A collision led to VSKG C.E.E.J getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Paulo Renato Leme hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in VSKG C.E.E.J's zone, Thomás Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Medeiros came out of the goal and Thomás Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded F. C. Amargoso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than VSKG C.E.E.J.
