The supporters of DIAMONDS booed when Tinguis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, DIAMONDS's Michel Vinhas got a free kick in the 5th minute. DIAMONDS's Mathias Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Correia in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Vivaldo Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Michel Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jorginho Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes, Michel Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIAMONDS and the Tinguis players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Mangueira during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee ignored Tinguis's protests and gave José Carlos do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Tinguis got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos do Vale. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Vinhas in the 43rd minute of play forced Tinguis's goalkeeper Jorginho Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mathias Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tinguis's Alex Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vivaldo Schmidt to make the kick off. If Rubens Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Lira took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathias Guimarães. Mathias Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubens Lira got free with Mathias Guimarães in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathias Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Lira in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Rubens Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 88th match minute, DIAMONDS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Alex Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match, Rubens Lira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mathias Guimarães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 95 played minutes Alex Reis rounded DIAMONDS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Tinguis left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DIAMONDS.
