Leonel Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Amorim in the 26th minute of play. Clube Atlético Serrano's Leonel Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Amorim in the 27th minute of play. Cláudio de Alcântara hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Silas de Queirós shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Massa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clube Atlético Serrano's Silas de Queirós shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnaldo Massa but with some difficulty. Sílvio Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Massa having to interfere. Erasmo Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anapolina booed when Clube Atlético Serrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 40th minute of the match Cláudio de Alcântara completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cláudio de Alcântara a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Clube Atlético Serrano booed when Anapolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes Anapolina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silas de Queirós who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Duda Neves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Anapolina's Arnaldo Massa did a great save. Cesinha Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Leonel Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anapolina. Eliseu Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Leonel Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute, Vivaldo Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Anapolina's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Motta came free, but Arnaldo Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Daniel Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anapolina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Serrano the free kick. After a rather tough play, Anapolina's Daniel Passos got a free kick in the 61st minute. The corner led Clube Atlético Serrano's Silas de Queirós to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnaldo Massa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Sílvio Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Serrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha Palmeira in the 69th minute. Arnaldo Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Rogério Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sílvio Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clube Atlético Serrano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Anapolina for a fine match.
