Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Carlos Bueno started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Arranca Toco FC booed when Canelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canelas FC's Dorival Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Canelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Toscano. After a rather tough play, Arranca Toco FC's Jânio Machado got a free kick in the 13th minute. Arnaldo Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Dorival Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Canelas FC's goalkeeper Washington Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Donatello. Arranca Toco FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Canelas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Caco Vieira took the corner. Caco Vieira made a great header on Arranca Toco FC's corner, it was just that Canelas FC's Washington Guimarães managed to reach the ball for a save. 22 minutes into the game, Hélder Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canelas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arranca Toco FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Canelas FC's Hélder Andrade got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Washington Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Donatello in the 23rd minute. Arnaldo Maia came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Canelas FC's Dorival Peres. But to his dismay, Dorival Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 34 minutes into the game, Caco Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arranca Toco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canelas FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arranca Toco FC's Caco Vieira got a free kick in the 34th minute. Duarte Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arranca Toco FC's Arnaldo Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Arranca Toco FC from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorival Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Maia having to make a save. Washington Guimarães came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Arranca Toco FC's José Carlos Bueno. But to his dismay, José Carlos Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Duarte Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Dorival Peress short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Arnaldo Maia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute, Nicolas Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Washington Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Canelas FC's Dário Eger was substituted for Alfredão Recife. Arnaldo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Quirino in the 85th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Dário Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arranca Toco FC's Arnaldo Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Canelas FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
