A collision led to Alvenápolis F.C. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Osvaldo Mandrak hit a great ball. With a little luck, Alvenápolis F.C.'s Fernando de Salles got control of the ball when Davi Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osvaldo Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Genílson Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Alvenápolis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Siqueira. Franklin Alves came free in the 18th minute and tried to tip the ball over Fernando de Salles, but to the joy of Alvenápolis F.C.'s supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Alvenápolis F.C.'s Fernando de Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Alvenápolis F.C. from getting a goal against them. Robinho Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genílson Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robinho Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Bulhufas F.C booed when Alvenápolis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bulhufas F.C's Genílson Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Fontes in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Sanches to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinho Fontes in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genílson Cunha saved Bulhufas F.C from getting behind. Tostão Queirós scored 1-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genílson Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Osvaldo Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Alvenápolis F.C.'s Cícero Batista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cícero Batista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alvenápolis F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cícero Batista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Renan Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Genílson Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Guedes in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Alvenápolis F.C. defense, Marco Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando de Salles. The Alvenápolis F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando de Salles should have stopped the shot. Bulhufas F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
