Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Júnior Novaes started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, São Bernardo FC's goalkeeper Caio de Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Falcão Moraes. Joélson Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joélson Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in São Bernardo FC's zone, Erik Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caio de Salles came out of the goal and Erik Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caio de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. São Bernardo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Erik Catarinense scored to the left of an out of position Caio de Salles, making the score, 1-0. If Joélson Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Caio de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eucalipto EC. In the 27th match minute, São Bernardo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Vargas to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes Eucalipto EC got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Nunes. After having played for 30 minutes, Joélson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Bernardo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joélson Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caio de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Falcão Moraes took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Caio de Salles to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Falcão Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eucalipto EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falcão Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Catarinense was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Erik Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caio de Salles was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Falcão Moraes struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Caio de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eucalipto EC. São Bernardo FC's Caio de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Catarinense in the 55th minute of play. Zeca Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Joélson Queirós sent off a good shot on target. Erik Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júnior Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Schmidt having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Eucalipto EC's Geraldo Nunes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Geraldo Nunes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eucalipto EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geraldo Nunes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Zeca Schmidt had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Wanderson Vargas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Wanderson Vargas did an outstanding performance 75 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Zeca Schmidt in the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Júnior Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Bernardo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, São Bernardo FC's Joélson Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeca Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd match minute, Eucalipto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Moraes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, São Bernardo FC's Marcinho Silva got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Eucalipto EC's Valdir Cruz in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye São Bernardo FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Falcão Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Eucalipto EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falcão Moraes couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Eucalipto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Moraes to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eucalipto EC had played much better football throughout.
