Gilson Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Godoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nova Granada Soccer's Tarcisio Vargas was substituted for João Paulo Leal. In the 12th minute, Gilson Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Granada Soccer's Nestor Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 16 minutes, Adriano Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Granada Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovânio França was a little too slow when Adriano Rodrigues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Magalhães in the 22nd minute of the match. If Rony Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Papi Colorado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Geovânio França 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Igualdade SC's zone, Papi Colorado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio França came out of the goal and Papi Colorado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nova Granada Soccer's Papi Colorado in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Igualdade SC's goalie prevented a goal. Geovânio França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Corrêa in the 32nd minute of play. With splendid footwork Papi Colorado arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 39th minute. Ramon Cordeara took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovânio França. Geovânio França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Papi Colorado made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Igualdade SC defense, Papi Colorado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovânio França. The Igualdade SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovânio França should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Igualdade SC's zone, Papi Colorado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio França came out of the goal and Papi Colorado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igualdade SC's Gilson Godoi got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Gilson Godoi off the ground. In the 61st minute of the match Edson Corrêa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovânio França skillfully saved the ball. Geovânio França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game Adriano Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Igualdade SC's Geovânio França was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovânio França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Fontes in the 66th minute of play. When Ismael Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Igualdade SC's protests and gave Ismael Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Igualdade SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Silveira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Igualdade SC booed when Nova Granada Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Rony Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Granada Soccer's Adriano Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emerson Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Rodrigues in the 74th minute of play forced Igualdade SC's goalkeeper Geovânio França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Eminescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Geovânio França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Mihai Eminescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovânio França was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 88th minute Diego Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovânio França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Eminescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Geovânio França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 91st minute of the match. Emerson Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Geovânio França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihai Eminescu went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Nova Granada Soccer walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
