Queda's Dito Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Régis Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Tasso in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Bernardinho Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardinho Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bernardinho Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reid Julian made a kick off. Dito Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dito Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Queda's zone, Reid Julian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Trancoso came out of the goal and Reid Julian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Da Vinci FC's Régis Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Da Vinci FC from getting a goal against them. When Da Vinci FC's Reid Julian in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bernardinho Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Chaves having to interfere. If Edmílson Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reid Julian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Benjamim Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamim Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Queda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomás Palmeira was slow to take the kick. During this time Da Vinci FC's players had a chance to rest. César Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Reid Julian might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamim Trancoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reid Julian ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamim Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reid Julian in the 89th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
