The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Baiano during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute, Igor Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Papi Colorado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Igor Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Limoeiro Do Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Baiano couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Papi Colorado in the 32nd minute of play forced Limoeiro Do Norte's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Papi Colorado in the 34th minute of play. When Rafa Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limoeiro Do Norte's protests and gave Rafa Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. Andrézinho Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Emerson Fontes from a close distance when the talented Andrézinho Mendonça managed to make a qualified save. Limoeiro Do Norte's players were relieved. In the 53rd minute, Nova Granada Soccer's Papi Colorado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Rafa Tróia hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Rafa Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Adriano Rodrigues could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Andrézinho Mendonça however easily saved by the left post. Rafa Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihai Eminescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrézinho Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihai Eminescu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 68th minute. Mihai Eminescu scored 0-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrézinho Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça got control of the ball when Adriano Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes Mihai Eminescu rounded Limoeiro Do Norte's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. Andrézinho Mendonça was a little too slow when Mihai Eminescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 95th minute Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Nova Granada Soccer could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Limoeiro Do Norte throughout the match.
