The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adriano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Araújo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Fontes in the 4th minute of play forced Phantásticos FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evandro Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen having to interfere. Papi Colorado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Emerson Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Nova Granada Soccer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Fontes couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Papi Colorado got free with Ronaldo Araújo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edson Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Araújo having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Ramon Cordeara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ronaldo Araújo. The goal made the score 1-0. Papi Colorado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmundo Félix during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Phantásticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Félix. Ramon Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Nova Granada Soccer booed when Phantásticos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano França didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Papi Colorado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldo Araújo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Ronaldo Araújo was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Papi Colorado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Papi Colorado really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Ronaldo Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Papi Colorado's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Adriano Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Papi Colorado to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Papi Colorado in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldo Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronaldo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of play. Nova Granada Soccer made a substitution. Mihai Eminescu replaced Papi Colorado. Emerson Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Phantásticos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Eriberto Amaral hit a great ball. Nestor Magalhães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronaldo Araújo. Phantásticos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute Adriano Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Mihai Eminescu notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Phantásticos FC's Ronaldo Araújo. Ronaldo Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 79 minutes into the game, Eriberto Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phantásticos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Granada Soccer the free kick. Ronaldo Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 80th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Nova Granada Soccer's goalkeeper Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Mandrak. Emerson Fontes's late challenge caught a Phantásticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. Emerson Fontes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Adriano Rodrigues took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Araújo. Ronaldo Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nova Granada Soccer fully deserved thier win.
