The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Rodriguinho Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Dênis Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Santana hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro de Alcântara having to interfere. If Rodriguinho Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eugênio Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dênis Lopes was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Eugênio Vides received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dênis Lopes came out and tried to block the shot, but Eugênio Vides slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lombas FC's zone, Eugênio Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Lopes came out of the goal and Eugênio Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Alcântara in the 33rd minute of play forced MacTakCG's goalkeeper Zé Pedro de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis Lopes stood somewhat misplaced when Eugênio Vides came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. The supporters of MacTakCG booed when Lombas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugênio Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedê Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dênis Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The coaching staff of MacTakCG protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maicon Meireles had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 63 minutes into the game, one of MacTakCG:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Lombas FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Elivélton de Barros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MacTakCG's Zé Pedro de Alcântara. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Dedê Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. MacTakCG's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dênis Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Galvão in the 77th minute of play forced Lombas FC's goalkeeper Dênis Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eugênio Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tiago Gabriel Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th minute Laerte Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Paraense hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Lombas FC's Rodriguinho Alcântara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Lombas FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though MacTakCG had controlled the match.
