The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Bittencourt was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Acarai's Paulinho Urbano got control of the ball when Tales Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Afonsinho do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jogadorista FC's protests and gave Afonsinho do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute Alexsandro Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 92 played minutes Jogadorista FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Bittencourt. In the 96th match minute, Acarai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Moreira to maneuver through the defense.
