Só o Pó F.C.'s Rômulo Paulista. Rômulo Paulista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erik da Cunha hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sampas Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gilmar Brito hit a great ball. Rômulo Paulista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 25 played minutes Sampas Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Erik da Cunha. 30 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sampas Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Só o Pó F.C. the free kick. In the 36th minute, Erik da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Dedê Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sampas Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dedê Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Paulista having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedê Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. Rômulo Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Brito in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Leão during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Filipe Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sampas Futebol Clube booed when C.A. Só o Pó F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rômulo Paulista was a little too slow when Dedê Alagoano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-2. Clóvis Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute of the match Ronaldão Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino do Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, André Luís Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A. Só o Pó F.C.'s Rômulo Paulista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Só o Pó F.C. from getting a goal against them. When André Luís Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the C.A. Só o Pó F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luís Pitta couldn't finish the play. C.A. Só o Pó F.C.'s André Luís Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, André Luís Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Sampas Futebol Clube's Dedê Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rômulo Paulista. Rômulo Paulista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Dedê Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sampas Futebol Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
