If Waldemar Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute Nelsinho Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Teles to make the kick off. Waldemar Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Ramiro Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinícius Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinícius Mendonça scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Guilherme Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bruno Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Leão having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute Super Stars were awarded a corner. Vinícius Mendonça went to the cornerflag to take it. Despite being the better team, Super Stars failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
