Marc-André Flury came out of the goal and Vladimir Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 27 minutes on the clock, Rômulo Saraiva commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 27th minute, one of Madrugueira FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Madrugueira FC. Paulo José Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Cristian Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madrugueira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc-André Flury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Lopez couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Marco Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc-André Flury. Gabs Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 77 minutes, Marco Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madrugueira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Lopezs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Marc-André Flury to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Madrugueira FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
