Super Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, one of Super Stars:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Super Stars. When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, Bad Boys FC's Válter Cordeiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ramiro Cabral. In the 77th minute, Olívio Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Super Stars got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Azevedo. In the 83rd minute, Nelsinho Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedito Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lino Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Bad Boys FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Bad Boys FC. Válter Cordeiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ramiro Cabral. 1-2. Benedito Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Vargas in the 99th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Super Stars lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
