Andradas United's Jacinto Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Souza in the 6th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Andradas United got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Veloso. In the 11thth minute of the game Cícero Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andradas United's Jacinto Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dadá Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Andradas United booed when BRASIL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Andradas United's Claudinei Paraense tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cícero Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Dias having to make a save. Dadá Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Victor Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Dadá Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andradas United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dadá Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dadá Secco came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Andradas United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Secco couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Paulo Recife's late challenge caught a BRASIL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Recife helped the player get up and apologised. Jacinto Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerson Gomes in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cícero Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRASIL's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cícero Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jacinto Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BRASIL's Victor Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Secco in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Dadá Secco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Tavares. BRASIL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Andradas United's goalkeeper Jacinto Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of BRASIL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Andradas United:s goal. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Andradas United. Claudinei Paraense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victor Tavares. 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Andradas United fans cheered their team off the field, for while BRASIL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
