JessLeh FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oswaldo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vivaldo Paraíba was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Angicos SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Angicos SC's Oswaldo Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Vivaldo Paraíba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Waldir Moura, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Angicos SC booed when JessLeh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jerônimo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerônimo Fantini to make the kick off. João Augusto Antunes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Eduardo Toledo, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 0-1. In the 58th minute, Jerônimo Fantini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eduardo Toledo. The goal made the score 0-2. When Vivaldo Paraíba got free in front of the goal in the 63rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Waldir Moura was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 65 minutes, Oswaldo Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angicos SC and the JessLeh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Angicos SC's João Augusto Antunes got a free kick in the 67th minute. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Angicos SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Agostinho de Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time JessLeh FC's players had a chance to rest. Agostinho de Toledo made a great header on JessLeh FC's corner, it was just that Angicos SC's Eduardo Toledo managed to reach the ball for a save. Zé Augusto Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. If Zé Augusto Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Toledo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. João Augusto Antunes was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Angicos SC's João Augusto Antunes got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. JessLeh FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
