Mad Season FC's Samuel Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Amaral in the 28th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, Seleção's Marcelinho Silveira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelinho Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerson Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Sena during the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mad Season FC's zone, Dieguinho Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Velasco came out of the goal and Dieguinho Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavinho Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Samuel Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Severo took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Velasco. Samuel Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Carlos Alberto Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Carvalho in the 77th minute of play forced Seleção's goalkeeper Miguel Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 79th minute of the match Cássio Sena completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cássio Sena a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Seleção getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cássio Sena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Amaral in the 87th minute of play forced Mad Season FC's goalkeeper Samuel Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mad Season FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! 94 minutes into the match, Marcelinho Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Velasco. Mad Season FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelinho Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Durvalino Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mad Season FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Durvalino Varela hit a great ball. The Mad Season FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Seleção were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
