Wanderson Félix started the match with the kick off. Rangers fc's Wanderson Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Félix in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rangers fc's Rafa Neto got a free kick in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Rangers fc's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Félix came free, but Wanderson Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Sebastião de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, T. L. G. FL's Carlinhos de Lima got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Félix in the 19th minute of play forced Rangers fc's goalkeeper Wanderson Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, T. L. G. FL's Wanderson Félix dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Wanderson Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Félix in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Wanderson Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Pedro Negri in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Camargo saved T. L. G. FL from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Pedro Negri to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião de Medeiros got free with Renato Camargo in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jano Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Renato Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Negri's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Sebastião de Medeiros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Renato Camargo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Renato Camargo made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Sebastião de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Wanderson Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Félix in the 71st minute of play. Sebastião de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Renato Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, T. L. G. FL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos de Lima to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, T. L. G. FL's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Negri came free, but Renato Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Ciro Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. T. L. G. FL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José Pedro Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Renato Camargo made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
