Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Frederico Meira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Anísio Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querida's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederico Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Zanette in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Querida booed when CORÍNTIOS E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Querida's Sidney Zanette in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 23rdth minute of the game Sidney Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CORÍNTIOS E.C.'s Frederico Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidney Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Frederico Meira made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Olavo Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidney Zanette's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Frederico Meira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Querida's Luisão Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Moura in the 39th minute of play. Dráuzio Montenegro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Anísio Aguiar from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Frederico Meira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sidney Zanette made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Querida's Vânderson Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frederico Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Zanette in the 57th minute of play forced CORÍNTIOS E.C.'s goalkeeper Frederico Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederico Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Sidney Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Meira was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Sidney Zanette put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Frederico Meira. If Sidney Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, CORÍNTIOS E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Sampaio came free, but Frederico Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Querida players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
