Inside Job's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Célio Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Anselmo Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Loureiro in the 10th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elder Loureiro in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Linhares saved Fanfa FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Inside Job's zone, Célio Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janne Schaffer came out of the goal and Célio Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Júlio Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janne Schaffer was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The Fanfa FC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Fanfa FC's Júlio Ribeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute Fanfa FC were awarded a corner. Cássio Vianna went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Fanfa FC's corner Cássio Vianna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Janne Schaffer quite easily take care of the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Fanfa FC's Célio Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janne Schaffer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Célio Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Schaffer having to interfere. Célio Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janne Schaffer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Júlio Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Janne Schaffer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fanfa FC. Júlio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee ignored Fanfa FC's protests and gave César Branco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, César Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís da Cunha hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 64 minutes in the game, Júlio Ribeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Janne Schaffer having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Júlio Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inside Job's Janne Schaffer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anselmo Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Negri in the 73rd minute of play. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Inside Job was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Geovânio Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fanfa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inside Job the free kick. In the 86th minute, Geovânio Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Inside Job booed when Fanfa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Inside Job's Duda Quirino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The Inside Job fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fanfa FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
