The referee ignored Ema's protests and gave Gabriel da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Águia Branca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís França to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute of the game, João Corrêa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Samuca Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Águia Branca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ema's Samuca Pernambucano got a free kick in the 67th minute. The supporters of Ema booed when Águia Branca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Zé Paulo Sabóia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Pedro Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Pedro Luís França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Águia Branca FC's Zé Paulo Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pedro Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
