Claudinei Fantini was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristóvão de Lima. Oscar Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lino Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Arnaldo Viana rounded FC DRAGÕES DA REAL's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. If Fabinho Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oséas Trancoso charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Trancoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Natã Siqueira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Refugio EC's Jacinto Pernambucano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC DRAGÕES DA REAL. When Arnaldo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Refugio EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Viana couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Refugio EC's Arnaldo Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Oscar Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaldo Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Fantini having to interfere. Claudinei Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabinho Capixaba's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. A collision led to FC DRAGÕES DA REAL getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Natã Siqueira hit a great ball. If Cido Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC DRAGÕES DA REAL's zone, Fabinho Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Fantini came out of the goal and Fabinho Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Refugio EC fully deserved thier win.
